I did it! and, a look back.

This has been the most luxurious Christmas break in the history of of me (and Mike). It's been a glorious week and a half break from the day before Christmas Eve all the way until January 3rd. I've sort of forgotten which day it is and I like that... a lot. It's given me a lot of time to reflect on life and where we're headed and what we're doing.  I like my life list for this year, I'm so happy with the friends and family we have around us in our first whole year in Madison, and I'm looking forward to making 2012 an intentional year of fun and adventure (aren't we all?).

I've been chugging along nicely with my intentions for this year.  I spiced up my cute little home on the internet - which is worth noting because when I've tried to create a blog in the past, I've gotten hung up on all of the possibilities for customization and design. This time I wanted to keep it usable and fun. Per number 11 on the list, I spent yesterday cleaning up our guest bedroom (my spare room) and ridding it of the things that no longer serve me... lots of old school books, misfit projects (as Mike likes to call them), and general clutter. Today I'm going to tackle the rest of the house - who wouldn't want to start the New Year with a clean house? This girl.

I started drafting a post of snapshots from the past year and it quickly grew out of hand. I'm glad I started poking around in the photos of the past year because I'm reminded of what fun it was!
